3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papillon (283) - Sudbury, - DEC 29, 2009
341 mL Bottle sampled Dec 24, 2009. Straw body with a frothy white head that settles to a tenacious ring leaving some lace. Aroma of sweet light malt, floral, slightly grassy, a faint innuendo of pear. Flavor is sweet light malt with notes of green grapes, pear, and a faint innuendo of banana. Hops say "hello" in the aftertaste without being too intrusive. If the smell of fresh produce at a farmer’s market had a taste, this is how I could describe the finish. A good beer for the money.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Metalchopz (1427) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 15, 2012
Originally rated July 2005. Belle Gueule brews are nothing out of this world, but for a light decent beer, easy to find around here in the convenient stores (Quebec), I prefer their products over Boréale (Blanche and Noire being the exceptions). Pours a golden colour with a big white head. Retention is average, lacing as well and carbonation is quite active. The scent is hoppy, probably Saaz. Mouthfeel is mildly creamy. The start of the taste is of grain malt and finishes on a slight bitter note. The aftertaste is mix of both. This one is a decent Canadian Pils-style, close to my favorite, the Steam Whistle. Note: Nowadays, I prefer Boréale beers over Belle Gueule ones (but their pilsner is the better of all their trio).
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 worldbeertaste (615) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2011
Clear light gold with a frothy lasting bubbly white head. Wheat and vegetable with some hops smell. Fizzy tingly thin body. Taste of grass, straw, wheat - basically vegetation.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 swiseman (315) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - OCT 23, 2011
Pours a pale straw color with a medium white head that quickly dissipates. subtle hop aroma. flavour is fairly bland, typical macro pilsner taste. Finish contains some hops although a bit too "overly clean".
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Marheb (671) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 3, 2011
Elle a perdu des plumes au fil des années mais ça reste une bière facile à boire avec le minimum requis de panache...ou presque. Très pale même pour une pilsner. Un peu de zest de citron dans le goût et pratiquement aucune amertume. Un fini assez sec.

341ml bottle. Reminded me a lot of a Labatt Blue with a touch more hopsiness. Simple.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 czar (1205) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 23, 2011
pours clear golden with an ok-head, disappears quickly. ok-malty, bread and slightly fruity with a little hop bite at the end, moderate finish. plain, boring, but still ok-ish.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DeanF (1484) - Iqaluit, Nunavut, CANADA - DEC 13, 2010
Aroma of soft hops, malts, little else. Boring gold body, little head. Flavour is smooth with okay hops hints, and a mild finish. It’s an okay pilsner, and unexceptional.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 sseb69 (887) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2010
Bouteille 341 ml. 5.2%. Couleur jaune or. Mousse blanche et bonne effervescence. Arômes de céréale et de maïs. En bouche, douce, notes de houblon floral et malt. Finale en légère amertume. Une bonne bière.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SlovakSniper (1349) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 15, 2010
