Amber color, the aroma of caramel and malt. Very little bitterness. The taste is average for a Rousse. I am not a fan of Belle Gueule

Smooth, malty taste for this red lager is the dominant characteristic. There exists enough malt body to make the beer taste interesting but not memorable. This is a good clean example of a red lager but isn’t an outstanding beer.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2009 341 ml bottle. Rousse colour with a thick white head. The aroma is roasted malt and hops. The taste is roasted malt and caramel with a pleasant bitterness from hops.

The aroma is in the categorie of traditional rousse beer...and the appearance is normal. The flavor and palate is ok, not more. I don’t know why, but I thought that Belle Gueule would be better beer than what I drank...a little bit disapointed.

Très bonne bière lisse et savoureuse. Un bon goût de malte riche et un peu rafréchissant. La meilleur des Belle Gueule.

Bright amber color, with a rocky tan-colored head, grainy, caramelized malt, roasted malt, follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a sweet toasty malt character, a toffee note and caramel malt, leading towards a nice bittering hops finish.

Bottle. Amber color and a decent head. A thick white fluffy head, soft carbonation. The aroma is fairly decent and mostly malty. A bit malty, bitter with a little caramel taste. The final is a bit bitter. A rather decent ““thirst-quenching session beer” .

Rousse, faible mousse blanche concassée recouvrant le dessus du verre. Arômes dominants de malt grillés et de léger caramel sur une faible présence de houblon fruités. Simple, levuré et malté en bouche, le profil de grains grillés est accentué et se mélange bien aux saveurs de pain apportées par les levures. Finale propre, carbonatation active. Servi en pinte, tutto benne.
