COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The deep amber color and malt richness of this beer result from a hearty blend of five different kinds of malted barley. These five malts together with three different kinds of hops, produce a quality beer with a complex balance of malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Dedicated to a long time friend and customer Jack Flanagan, the full flavor and amber color of this beer, are to be remembered.

Deep copper pour with off white head and lace. Caramel malt dominates the aroama. Sweet caramel and a light resiny bitter finish. Light bodied and fizzy. An ok beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear brown with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, light fruits. Flavor is sweet and malty with a light body. A pretty dull amber, but it’s drinkable. 6/4/6/3/12 (3.1/5)

Not really any aroma. This is okay. A bit sweet and caffeinated, this has malt first and some late hops. Interesting but not real great. A light sour milk finish.

One of the more enjoyable beers from Belle Isle’s lineup. Medium bodied, pours deep tea red. Perhaps a bit thin on taste, but overall very drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark amber with a slight head. Has a caramel sweet smell. Medium bodied with a pleasing mouthfeel. Taste is caramel sweet with a nice roasted malt base. Finishes with a toasted grain taste on the palate. Another tasty brew from this unheralded brewery. Sept 2003

(Tap) Pours a deep amber color with a small amount of head. Light hop aroma, with a sour taste. Sweet caramel finishes it off. Very light body, and just plain bad. Something is off here.
