Cable (285), SE, Oklahoma, USA Jan 17, 2006 Sampled on draft at Belle Isle. Pours clear yellow-gold with no head. Aroma is mild and resembles Pledge cleaner. The hefe yeast (banana & clove) dominate the flavor to the exclusion of practically all others. Light-bodied and lightly carbonated. Too simple.
AmEricanbrew (1137), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Jan 10, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow hue with a slight head. Has a spicy sweet malt smell. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. Taste is of sweet tart malts and spices.I’m kind of surprized no one has reviewed any brews from here, they’re pretty good, considering we’re in the middle of a craft beer desert.May 2003
troyc (1023), Lubbock, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2007 (Tap) Pours a hazy golden color, with a small amount of head. Only a faint hefe character. Slightly sour (not unlike the rest of their beers). Very light body. Another disappointment. jetzler (594), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA Apr 13, 2006 Updated: Feb 21, 2007A wheat beer disguised as a pilsner, I cannot taste the difference in hops between any of the beers produced at Belle Isle except for their IPA which tastes like grass. Again fairly dissapointing. MrRomero (1913), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Feb 11, 2006 Draft at the brewpub: not sure this is the correct place for this rating. This beer poured a cloudy yellow with just a wisp of a small white head. Light aroma of yeast. Flavor is light banana with a hint of lemon. The finish is what killed this beer. Lots of corn. Way too much corn.
