Bottle @ home. Pink colour, some foam. Lively carbonation. Sweet aroma of candy with light tart notes. Some artificial flavours. Not very good.

I am not very fond of Fruit beer but this one was a surprise because of its consistency in flavour and aroma, carbonation and head. A good beer when you are tired of the regular ones.

Typical sweetened framboise with very low lambic character, since 1986; deep dark red, pinkish head, very sweet grenadine character, syrupy and sugary, with lemonade-like ascorbic acid, some very faint bitterishness still noticeable in the finish but overall, cloyingly sweet. Too sweet for my tooth.

Drank as La Becasse Framboise in France. Pours ruby red with a frothy pinkish white head. Sweet and syrupy raspberry dominates, but there’s a little sour lambic character in there. A bit perfumey.

25cl bottle from 1987. Pours a nice head with slow retention. Framboise, soury fruit, sugar, not a bad old find.

Lekker frambozenbiertje, zoet zoals het moet. Er zijn er nog betere maar dit is zeker een aanrader

330ml bottle as La Becasse Framboise. Red tinged beer with pinkish foam and strong raspberry aroma and flavour with a lingering sweet finish.

OLD NOTES JAN 12, 2004 Smells of tart raspberries. Pours a clean ruby body with a golden tinge to it, light tan head atop. Sweet raspberry with slight hop action on the tongue, but not really strongly flavoured. Quite sour, with a foamy kind of mouthful with just a touch of bitterness and dry after feel. As with the Kriek, I feel like i’m drinking a wine rather than a beer.
