UPDATED: APR 19, 2004 Artificial framboise aroma. Pink/red color, pink head, good lace. Sweet (less than expected), raspberry, flat and thin. No oak or any wood, no complexity, thin, refreshing though.

I would consider this a starter lambic. Amber/red color with a light pink/tan head. Aroma of sweet raspberries. Sweet raspberry flavor with little malt to back. Lacks tart/sourness to offset the sweetness.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sayravai (4526) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 12, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2006 (Bottled) Clear amber color (filtered) with a large, lacy and quite lasting head. Slightly sweet, a bit artificial raspberry aroma with slight sour and ashy hints. Sweet, slightly oaky-ashy and acidic, straightforward raspberry flavor. Light to medium-bodied, a bit dull, fizzy-carbonated palate. A decent, sweet dessert (or beginners’) lambic, but can’t compete with Lindemans’ Kriek as one.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Braudog (4473) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - SEP 11, 2005
Bottle at KClingers: Orange/pink. Pours with the lightly twinkly fizziness of a soda. Smooth and fritzy ... classic to style. I won’t drink it, but the chicks will.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - DEC 10, 2001
I generally love fruit lambics; so why have I picked a couple of dogs to start my lambic-rating career? Got me. Unlike ecrvich, I had a sample with virtually no head, but I liked the cloudy red body and the super-fruity aroma. Then I tasted it. Hit with a raspberry explosion at first, I was quickly thrown into a well of sourness the next; tasted kind of flat and stale, and very two-note. Just raspberry; then just sourness. I’ll go back to Lindemans.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ogivlado (4275) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 22, 2002
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2006 Bottled(375ml). -nice colored, good refreshing fruit beer, nice fruity taste, but Kriek is much better
Bottled(375ml) as La Becasse Framboise, 5.7%ABV. Bought this in E.Leclerc, Auxerre, France. Only resemblance with Belle-Vue Framboise is bottle, and everything else, including label, ABV, taste, etc. is different. Red coloured, airy pinkish head, sweet fruity nose. Raspberry aroma with notes of yeast and slight sweet. A little bit sourish than Belle-Vue. 7/4/7/4/15=3.7

This is a raspberry clone of the Belle Vue Kriek cherry lambic. Interesting to try, but too much fruit candy sweetness keeps me from coming back for more.
