   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Wanne (17) - - FEB 22, 2015
Colour is copper-like, combined with a white, foamy head. Taste and smell reminds me of an old geuze, which has been sweetened, but not as much as a faro though. There’s also not much in the aftertaste. Good alternative for a regular pilsner, but nothing more.

Small bottle. Amber body, medium head. Mild soapy aroma with some wood. Taste resembles seawater, just like their Kriek. Salty water with chemical soapiness. Minimal tartness among the soap and seawater but not nearly enough. The palate is so bad I want to rate it a "-2". Instant drainpour.

Dark golden coloured and hazy. Has a white head, medium duration. Sweet, acidic aroma. Flavor starts sweet, then acid, too sweet, some odd flavors too.

Cerveza de color ámbar, espuma blanca. Aroma afrutado, a malta y a madera. Sabor dulce, amargo al final, fácil de beber. He probado mejores geuzes que esta.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2015 Bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn. Pours dark amber, some bits floating around, otherwise clear. Light head, retains, laces. Nose is tart fruits... near-putrid apples, basement, kind of caramelly, dusty, cereals, grains... some faint notes of delicately sweet vanilla and cherry too. Surprisingly pleasant. Taste is initially quite sour, but that’s quickly buried in a coating of caramelly and fruity sweetness. Palate slick and sticky. Carbonation average. Finish faintly dry and grainy... I find it to be more complex than Mort Subite’s Lambic Gueuze I had earlier, but this one is, however, clearly a lesser brew.
