Pours a golden beer with a white head. Smells nice. Good sour aroma. The taste is below average. Not so sour and a not really likeable finish.

drank at home, pretty sweet with a soury aftertaste, shallow palate, not really exciting, refreshing tho. Sunday afternoon beer.

Douberd (633) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 18, 2013
250 ml bottle, poured into a snifter. 1.04€. ABV 5.5% Deep caramel amber colour on a very clean body. One finger of white head on top of it, average retention, left some big foamy bubbles on the surface and a thin line of lacing around the glass when it went down. Aroma of white sour grapes with some caramel too. Taste is slighty sour but not for long, as it balances quite fast by sweet flavours. Although it is very pleasanty drinkable, there is not a taste profile that stands out. Thin body, average carbonation. Mildly dry on the palate. Overall, an average gueuze.

25cl bottle. Expiration date: 23/11/13. Appearance: clear dark blonde beer, huge rather stable white head. Somewhat adhesive foam. Nose: Sugar and again sugar? Little lambic like, little fruity, like grapes maybe. Taste: awful taste, like drinking sugar water with a little sourness knocking in at the end. Very sugary and even like there is a lot of alcohol in it? Rather dry. Not really a gueuze for me.

25 cl. bottle @ home, bought somewhere in Belgium. ABV is 5,5 %. Old yellow with a white head. Sweet lambic aroma. Taste is rather sweet for a lambic but not unpleasant. Light and refreshing.

Gold pour. Big white head with plenty of lacing. Smells of corn. Taste is ungodly sweet. It tastes like cake frosting and corn flakes. Sweet finish. Not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It pours hazy pale brownish amber in color with a thick, creamy and persistent white head. My first gueuze, I think... Although a little sweet at start it was some sour and bitter notes in the end. Quite refreshing. Not bad but not brilliant.

I am not an expert in gueuze beers but I enjoyed this. A nice coppery colour with a thick white head. Rich aroma with toffee, banana and sweet malt. Thinish mouth-feel tending towards a pleasing frothiness. Refreshing taste, with gentle ’off’ notes tempered by sweet and dry biscuit.

Aroma is vinegary, dark golden/amber in color with thick fluffy head. Taste is apple cider and vinegar. An acquired taste I know, but I am aware there are much better brands out there.
