Obviously a yeasty, sour aroma with some sweetness to it. Has a nice dark amber colour. Overall heavy sour taste, alternately medium sweet. A bit too one-sided perhaps. Enjoyable palate and refreshing in the end.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch säuerlich, Citrus, süßlich. Geschmack sauer, Citrus, malzig süß.

Bottle from Dirk. Honestly, I have to say this is one of the prettiest beers I’ve ever seen, deep gold brown copper color, cristal clear, with a rich, thick, frothy white foam that sticks to the glass and leaves beautiful lace patterns. Now on to the serious business, the aroma is quite malty, light green apple notes, apple pie, fruity and a bit "sweet" smelling, very very mild funk. Taste is sweet, malty, no real acidity, the funk comes off more as a musty grain flavor. Palate is med bodied with light-medium carbonation. Too sweet, not sour enough, aka pretty much what you expect.

Clear amber body with a white lacing head. Taste is sweet but quickly moves to the sour berry finish. Carbonation is soft and the palate medium, a little cloying. Nice and refreshing.

Pours darker clear amber with a shortlisted off white head. Sweet syrup malty slightly fruity a bit acidy aroma and flavor, some bitterhet astringency on palate and aftertaste.

Bottle (250 ml). Clear golden with a small off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is sugary with fruity (apples) notes and light sourness. Taste is sweet (sugar) with light apples notes and hints of sourness. Light (weak) body. Medium carbonation. Sirupy (sugar) mouthfeel. There’s not much to say about this one other than it’s a poor sweetened-type gueuze. Not really fun to drink, but not awful either. I would be curious to try a pre-In Bev bottle of this.

I was not expecting much. But this was just terrible. Is this even a gueuze? Color and overall appearance are okay: clear orange and thin white head. So far, so... Good. I guess it would have been better to pour it away and call it a day at this point. This did not taste sour in any way, I only tasted lots and lots of sugar, like an expired Ice Tea. Really, really bad. Maybe they should sell this as a soft drink. As a beer, terrible. Plain awful.

Somewhat opaque dark copper color with off-white lacing foam head. Aroma is light cherrie. Taste is hard to place, not nice. Bit carbonated. (Velp 201402)

A little better than rate beer lead me to believe. Not a bad brew to have with a meal. A little one note. Should not be compared to cantillon.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 A lambic with a touch of apricot. Tastes like a perpetual battle between sweet and sour, though without a clear winner.
