Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is malty, light sour, light cherries and light marzipan. Flavor is medium sweet, light sour and light acidic. Dry and light acidic finish. The labels says gueuze but it feels like a weak kriek. 141211

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Swaroga (355) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 19, 2011
25cl bottle. It’s a 5.5% alc and not 5.2%. Dark orange, clear with a descent, gray head. Nose : Dried fruits : plums, apples. Raspberry. Soapy yeast. Sip : Water with good carbonation. All nose aromas are developed with a medium sourness. Overall it’s a refreshing glass. I’m not a big fan of spontaneous fermentation but when you need a glass of refreshment I might come back to this one.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MrHangover (465) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2011
Bottle as a gift. Pours out to be a nice oak brown colour with grainy aroma’s alongside some fruity yeasts. Flavour has the grainy sweetness and sourness of wich is common in spontaneous fermented beers. Looks great in the glass, good carbonation going on. Didn’t expect anything like this, but it was quite good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 DutchDrebus (1404) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 27, 2011
I don’t really like gueuze beers, but this one also isn’t the best of this kind. So it scores quite low.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Benzai (2703) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 25, 2011
Geuze is far from my favorite beerstyle, but there are sometimes nice geuzes. This is not one of them. The color is pretty standard so good enough. Sweet smell with a little sourness, taste is artificial. Not good.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Scopey (1659) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2011
Bottle from Beer Planet. It pours clear amber, with a thick foamy white head and mod-high carbonation. The nose is very sweet: candy floss, honey, peach and tart lemon. The taste is hay, honey, tart lemon-lime, sweet pear, peach, soap, with a short astringent finish. Far too sweet and artificial tasting! I couldn’t even finish the bottle.
