A good gueuze for people who do not have a lot of experience with gueuze beer. It has a sour taste but not overwhelming and a sweet touch to compensate. I would call it a light gueuze, ideally for warm summers

250ml bottle. Clear dark amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Fruity, milky, sour, dirty, malty, grainy in aroma. Messy aroma. Sour, strawberries, hay, malty, sweet and sticky taste. Foul sweet and sour aftertaste. Very messy brew.

Pours transparent amber, white head. Complex aromas: yeast, flour, bread, vanilla, sour fruits, banana candy, marron glacé, hazelnut, biscuit... Fresh, fizzy, fragrant. Surprisingly full-bodied. Long finish. Very nice.

(bottle) clear deep golden-copper colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel, bubble gum and aniseed, with a hint of custard and grass. flavour is mostly bubble gum, vanilla and pale malts, slightly sweet, with a hint of yeast and a semi-dry finish. light- to medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at home. Nice amber colour with a white head. Has a slight, musty aroma. Very sweet taste with a small amount of tartness to balance. Flavours of almond stone and a hint of vanilla. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel. In all, it’s OK, but definitely one for the sweet-toothed. I wouldn’t bother with another.

Copper appearance, 1 finger tight bubbly head. Smells like a belgian pale ale. weird a little sweet and light tartness but overall, it tastes like a belgian pale ale. strange. not gueule-like at all.

Another great gueuze. I like the style of this beer very much. The bottle is plain and simple, and the beer is enjoyable.

33cl bottle shared at The Cad’s 10yr anniversary celebration at CBC Clerkenwell, London. 1966 vintage. Huge thanks to the man himself! After carefully removing the dark brown lightly mouldy cork, a dark caramel colored flat nectar is poured in an original Belle-Vue old-style glass. Really looks like a faro. Anyways, nose and taste are very similar and both share the joy of strong oxidised notes of soy sauce, white dessert wine, vinegar, caramel and most of all vermouth. Light to medium bodied, completely flat. Great experience, funny beer to try and in no way offensive, so great overall.

25 cl. bottle @ home. Pours hazy amber, almost no foam. Fruity aroma, mostly oranges and apple. Tastes very sweet, palate is very watery, with almost no aftertaste. Reminds me why I don’t like this kind of beer.

Bottle at home. Clear amber with small white head. Dried fruits, orange, cinnamon, cumin, sour lemon juice. Taste is medium sweet and medium sour, lasting astringent finish. Medium bodied. Not true to the style, but actually not that bad.
