UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 A lambic with a touch of apricot. Tastes like a perpetual battle between sweet and sour, though without a clear winner.

250ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity sherbet-like aroma, hints of peach, jelly bear ground mass, a touch of dill and gherkin. Taste is minimally tart, some citric acid, slightly artificial, sweet-ish, unspecific fruitiness; jelly bear ground mass or glucose syrup with some lemon.

Easy to drink for those who is debuting on this kind of beer. Personally, I do prefer other gueuzes.

Bottle found on flea marker in Brussels. Exp date 1993. Hazy orange color, no head. Aroma is sweet fruit wine, that cheap one. Light note of bretta. Taste is sweet, candy sugar and frutis. Pretty boring stuff, i cant drink more than one small glass. But still this was intresting found.

I find it hard to think of this beer as a gueuze. It has a vaguely lemonade-like taste. Not for me.

Flaska från belgianbeerfactory.com. Bärstensfärgad vätska. Lätt doft av jordkällare. Sötad med ett visst inslag av kemisk sötma. Smakar lite säd, ingen nämnvärd syra.

250ml bottle. Clear dark amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Fruity, milky, sour, dirty, malty, grainy in aroma. Messy aroma. Sour, strawberries, hay, malty, sweet and sticky taste. Foul sweet and sour aftertaste. Very messy brew.

Pours transparent amber, white head. Complex aromas: yeast, flour, bread, vanilla, sour fruits, banana candy, marron glacé, hazelnut, biscuit... Fresh, fizzy, fragrant. Surprisingly full-bodied. Long finish. Very nice.

(bottle) clear deep golden-copper colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel, bubble gum and aniseed, with a hint of custard and grass. flavour is mostly bubble gum, vanilla and pale malts, slightly sweet, with a hint of yeast and a semi-dry finish. light- to medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at home. Nice amber colour with a white head. Has a slight, musty aroma. Very sweet taste with a small amount of tartness to balance. Flavours of almond stone and a hint of vanilla. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel. In all, it’s OK, but definitely one for the sweet-toothed. I wouldn’t bother with another.
