UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 A lambic with a touch of apricot. Tastes like a perpetual battle between sweet and sour, though without a clear winner.

Bottle 25cl, Nose is on toasted vanilla !? A quite sweet lambic with kind of caramel, low sourness, light brett touch, background astringency. Not outstanding.

Donker geel leverdig bier met schuim. Smaak is zuur en droog, hooi, citrus en banaan. Blijft helaas niet lang hangen, heb betere Gueze gehad.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Fruity, buttery and nutty smell. Sweet taste with some ripe fruit, nuts and butterscotch. Not sure wh they label this as a gueuze as it tastes nothing like it. The butter (diacetyl?) is not to my liking.

250mL bottle, pours a clear bronze with a small white head. Aroma smells like a light Belgian ale, with yeast and feint metallic oak. Flavour is lightly sweet and very artificial tasting. Almost like a fake cotton candy quality. Nasty.

Geruch nach Koriander. Geschmack dann seltsam bitter. Wenig sauer, ein bisschen wie Süßstoff. Mainstream. Bisschen Brett. Langweilig.

Aroma: Light sourness, light barnyard, lemon, Appearance: Brilliant burnt gold body. small off-white head. lacing. Flavour: High sourness that quickly fades, bready, lemon, Palate: light body. High, soft carbonation. Overall: I was expecting a bit more of the wild yeast character, but this is a very nice beer. I might not drink many glasses, but I can see this as a great palate cleaner between meals. 250 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre! 17E. Gueuze

Discraceful. Way too sweet for a geuze. This used to be drinkable, but is not anymore. Sugar sells.

Bottle bought in Belgium. Sour aroma and taste. Not my cup of tea. Would maybe gain if stored a few years.
