1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011
Das mit Abstand schlechteste Kriek was ich bisher getrunken hab.Nur säuerlich, kaum Kirschgeschmack. Im Nachgeschmack dumpf, leicht abgestanden. Mehr gibts dazu nicht zu sagen.
Test vom 20.3.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,5,6,4,9,5 - 5,70
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Wolfbass (517) - Firenze, ITALY - JUN 4, 2011
Questo tipo di kriek, sono sempre molto invitanti con un bell’aspetto e un buon aroma, poi però lasciano a desiderare...
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 avw1982 (70) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 30, 2011

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 kermis (571) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 28, 2011
Bottle in Brussels. Pours clear red with light pink head. Aroma of sweet cherries. Flavor of cherry and sugar. Simply too sweet.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kristall-König (1552) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 26, 2011
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Martinus (663) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2011 The new bottle now reads "classique", which I thought was a good reason to taste again. There is nothing classical about it though, still the overly sweet, cherry juice kind of beer.
Too sweet. Cherry juice aroma. Flavour sweet, slight sour notes. Lots of cherry juice. In my humble opinion this beer has only one forte, and that is that it is drinkable for and liked by those who don’t like beer or lambic -yet. I know quite a few beer lovers in Belgium and the Netherlands whose first beers ever were Belle-Vue Kriek.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Jessop (85) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 5, 2011
Drank on tap at Belgian beer cafe in Adelaide, Deep ruby red with densely packed and lingerling pinkish foam. Very cherry sweetish and fresh fruit aroma. The palate was soft and slightly dry with very little residual sweetness. Spontaneously delicious.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4561) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - APR 28, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2011 I’ve had this a million times and never rated it, and then had it thinking it was the Larnaca brewpub house kriek because they label it as such. So this is my rating from that one. Draft. Deep, opaque color of crushed cherries with a tight pink head. Candied cherry aroma is inviting. Sticky palate. Sweet-tart in fair balance. Tastes like canned cherry pie filling. It’s actually nice even though it is candy-like. It was good not knowing what it was, as if it was a blind tasting. Thinking it was a Cypriot brewpub beer made me impressed. If I knew what it was at the time I would have been harder on it.
