This was a nice mellow kriek. Smelled cherries as soon as the I pulled out the cork - opened with a quiet pop, and when I started pouring I thought that maybe this was going to be flat. Luckilly, it developed a thick fluffy pink head on top of the hazy red body. Also had great sticky lacing. Taste was mellower than expected, but smooth and full of semi tart cherry. Hints of sourness, but I would’ve preferred more. Finish was slightly bitter, woody, almost like cherry pits.

Pleasant aroma with some cherry in there, reddish amber in color. Syrupy sour cherry flavour. A touch of dryness although the sweetness is rather sugary. It started off ok but the more I had the less I liked it.

Bottle. Fruity cherry aromas and yeast. A touch of sweetness with a sharp finish. More beer like than the Belle-vue Framboise but still slightly artificial.

Dark red with a large, but not heavy pink head. Nice balance, more acidity than sweetness which makes for a refreshing drink.

37.5cl bottle: This one pours a clear ruby color. Pouring it fast does give it a bit of a red-tinged head. The head dies down quickly, even there was a bit of carbonation. Some lacing down the glass. The aroma has both sweet and sour notes of cherries. The taste is a bit tart, but a hair lighter: the cherries don’t overpower the taste. A nice Kriek.

A very unique style. Lambics are definitely an acquired taste. Very cherry, but not overpowering. Quite good.

Ruby-red, cloudy bottle with a pink, medium-thick head. Smells deliciously of cherries, acid and sugars. Tasty, though watery compared to other examples I’ve had of this style. Of course cherries dominate the palate with a good bit of sweet/sour working the palate. Not bad, not great, really more of a macrobrewed dessert beer. Sampled on tap in Toronto, CA

Love it. Cherries make this more sweeter than the framboise. If you wanna pick up a chick who doesn’t like beer, buy this for them, they’ll fall in love with you!

This beer really looks the part, with a great red colour to let you know what is instore for the drinker. Really falls down after that with a too-sweet aroma of cherry, and a "flavouring" sort of taste. Give it a miss, and try to findsomething from another lambic brewer.
