UPDATED: MAY 22, 2004 This is one of my favorite Krieks. It has a nice dark red body. Nice bitter cherry flavor (most Krieks are more sweet than this one but I like the bitterness!) and also a good bitter and sour aftertaste.

Can shared by Todd! Hazy red pour with a fizzy dark pink head. Ludens on the nose. Sweet cherry flavor. Light acidity

Bottle. Clear red colour, pink head. Aroma of sweet cherries, a bit tart. Flavour is sweet-sour, cherries, mostly sweet. Tastes like cassis soda.

This is one of the beers that changed my life, and got things started. I tried it from a bottle in the Hogshead, Birmingham, and couldn't believe that something so fruity and exciting could actually be a beer. As an Interbrew product it now seems like this is becoming the Coca Cola of fruit beers, and I'm not sure it is the most complex, or subtle kriek in the world. But by crikey, it's still a top class piece of work, which brings back happy memories, and experiences which I am keen to repeat whenever possible! The cherry flavour is rich, without being over powering, and it is sweet without being sickly. Great colour too.

A light sweet nose that is pleasant. Typical brown-reddish color. The taste is predominately cherries, not surprisingly. Rather sweet, not really sour enough, though there is a light tart finish. Thin and refreshing.

SHIG (2530) - Osan, SOUTH KOREA - JAN 10, 2008
Bottle: Poured a ruby red with pink color head. The aroma is a tart cherry. The taste is sour cherry with a slight acidic touch to the finish. Watery compaired to other fruit krieks.
