dark mahogany colour. Fizzy, carbonated head. Smells like sour cherries. Tastes like sour cherries also, slightly bitter aftertaste.
It didn't really taste a whole lot like beer, but it was quite interesting.

If you find Lindemans too sweet, try this instead. Beautiful sight in the glass with its deep reddish body and plentiful foam that looks like strawberry mousse. Cherry (no kidding) is strong and dominant in the aroma but passes over the tastebuds a little more quietly. Spritzy carbonated palate has a tartness that helps fight off the cherries.

Beautiful ruby colour ("gore-coloured" said my girlfriend, sometimes that woman really scares me!!)Well-balanced cherry-aroma. Not as sour as Cantillion, but not as sweet as Lindeman. I liked this Kriek.

not very good at all.. not worth the notes.. my note on the back of my bar coaster simply said this:
Pours red, tastes bad.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2003 Deep red in colour with a pink head. Aroma of cherries and a slight sourness. Flavour is sweet, not enough sourness or tartness. Finishes with a mild cherry bitterness.

Bottled. Pours a reddish amber with a light pink head. Pink lace! Aroma is sweet with cherries and spice. Light body and medium carbonation. The starts a little sweet and goes a little sour with cherries, wood and spice. Dry finsh.

Bottle(classique) poured into a tumbler. Appearance is dark red with a light white head. Smells like cherry syrup. Taste is light with some sweet cherry and light bitter and sour in the finish. It’s highly carbonated and keeps it fresh and light. Not as sour as I thought it would be, but its not bad for a commercial kriek

Pours a red colour a small foamy head on the edges. Aroma of cherries with some stuffy perfume-like notes. Flavour of sweet, artificial cherries and some light sourness. Light bodied with a slightly dry finish. Artificial sweeteners leave a bad taste. Inferior to Lindemans Kriek.
