3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Yves (1553) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - JAN 23, 2010
Hazy red coloured beer with small pinkish head and medium carbontion. A fruity cherry aroma with a sour touch. Full sparkling palate. Finish is fruity sweet, well balanced.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kristall-König (1552) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 26, 2011
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 boto (1550) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAY 23, 2004
37.5cl bottle: This one pours a clear ruby color. Pouring it fast does give it a bit of a red-tinged head. The head dies down quickly, even there was a bit of carbonation. Some lacing down the glass. The aroma has both sweet and sour notes of cherries. The taste is a bit tart, but a hair lighter: the cherries don’t overpower the taste. A nice Kriek. Earlier Rating: 6/2/2002 Total Score: 3.9 A very unique style. Lambics are definitely an acquired taste. Very cherry, but not overpowering. Quite good.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 nate2g (1548) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2008
Pours red with small diminishing head. Aroma is of sweet and acidic cherries. Flavour is cherry, sour though, with a little bitterness. Sweet, bitter finish, wouldn’t drink too many of these.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Capa (1544) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2007
Pours a deep ruby red with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is of sour cherries, light malts and other fruit. Unfortunatly the aroma is very muted. Flavor is cherry, kinda sour, yeast, and rather sweet. Body is a bit too carbonated. Not impressed.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 NosirIwont (1537) - Aalborg Vestby, DENMARK - JUL 4, 2005
Bottle. Dark red/brown colour. Lasting pinkish head. Cherry aroma. A bit metallic. Notes of malt. Cherry flavour. A bit sour. Slightly bitter finish. Palate feels slightly greasy.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ALLOVATE (1535) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - NOV 19, 2004
Tasted out of bottle in a Lambic Goblet. Popping the cork revealed a cherry, sweet aroma, which developed when poured. In the glass it was most impressive, with a brown, burgundy-red body and an off-pink head that lasted to the bottom. Flavour was of an immature berry wine mixed with tonic water, not discrediting, but undemanding. Cherries dominated with little lactic Lambic flavours or sour balances. A good brew, for young connisseurs.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Gethinbeer (1524) - Musky, Nova Scotia, CANADA - JAN 5, 2007
Not a lover of this type of beer. Acidic taste of cheeries, quite metallic. Cherry red in appearance with a frothy dirty pink head. Cheery cola flavour, a bit rich.
