Bottle, from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Ruby pour with fine just-pink head. Lightly tart cherry jam aroma, angel food cake. Softly tart wooly bite, cherry candy, sweet but not overbearing. I can’t hate beer like this, much as I would like to. It’s not a work of genius, and yes, it’s an insult to the subtle beauty of a proper lambic. But...it’s kinda fun. It’s like the Burger King® of the beer world: not really food, but resembles food in a way that is itself kind of interesting.

Comments about the colour and presentation of beers like these probably don't add a great deal to the evaluation of a beer of this style. There is no need to comment on the natural hue of a beer because of the obvious adjuncts. Ditto the nose and taste as a cherry beer is going to probably smell and taste of .......Having said all that it is still a good and refreshing beer. There is a gegree of syrupy presence as noted by some but if you look past that it is still quite an acceptable drink, as opposed to a beer.

Bottle. Cherry, sweet, chewing gum, quite refreshing! Small frothy head, mostly dimishing. The body is dark red coloured. Sweet beginning on the palate, the finish is a little bit bitter. The duration is medium. Light to medium on the palate, dry texture, soft carbonation.

Pretty easy to drink for a lambic. First, only moderate lambic nose, more fruit than funk or brett or lactobacillus. Hazy reddish pink, small vanishing head. Taste of cherries and a little sour notes, maybe yoghurt. Moderate palate. Again, easy to drink, hard to dislike, hard to love.

Hovering in between sweet and dry. Cherries are well presented, but rather lifeless in other aspects including carbonation. After developing an appreciation for the sourness and "funk" found in others it’s harder to get excited about this one. Not a thing really bad about in the least - if that makes sense.

A hard drink to judge. For a fruit beer it is one of the best. Cherry flavor is termemdous. If you are not a beer lover (what?) then this is a great alternative. However it is very sweet and half of a drink is enough for me.

Colour of muddy shiraz and pours with a big Creamola Foam head. Sour cherries and cloves in the aroma. Smooth-bodied and sweet at the front and middle, with a big sour cherry finish. Thinner than most lambics. It has a poppy, lemonade-like texture. Some alcoholic strength in the middle but little depth. An easy drinker, sweet but a tad bland. (Bottle)

Very intersting brew. Pours up looking more like wine than beer. Aroma is dominant cherry as is flavor which is a little sour. Pretty yummy.
