3fourths (6218) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2005
UPDATED: APR 11, 2006 Very nice rich and clear dark red color, couldn’t ask for a better color from a kriek, though I prefer to see them a little cloudy. Aroma is some creamy sweet candy cherry notes, flavor is similar, but light overall... the palate is slightly peppy, soda-like, and thinner than prefered. OK at best, basically I wanted more depth than just a one-dimensional cherry candy flavor.

As La Becasse Kriek. Dark red with an off-white head. Aromas are cherry drops sweets with hints of musty sourness. Flavours are sweet cherries followed by, er, not much. Its more factory than farmyard, which is a shame. Is this a real airbourne yeast fermented beer? It seems too sterile. As a sweet cherry beer it is OK, as a lambic, not.

Red color, sweet cherry aroma and taste, medium body, sparkling winy finish.

250ml bottle (Smatch, Bruges)
3 Dirty muddy aroma
2 clear bold red, light pink head
3 Holy fuck, this is messed up. Dirty light grains, almost maizy.
2 Sweet slick palate, soft carbonation. Finish mercifully short
4 Do not want. InBev doing what they do best - fucking up classic styles.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2003 On tap at Boucherville's Bocké bistro. Cherry bubble gum aroma. Nice medium to round texture, syrupy taste, tart. Decent

Pinkish red, with retaining thin lace. Dry drink, drier than dry wines.Definate true cherry flavour. Strong carbonation tingles mouth and tongue. Satisfying and semi-sweet

Ughsmash (5631) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 31, 2006
Bottle, BB 1/30/07. Poured a clear translucent cherry red with a tall, light-pinkish head. Tart cherries and perhaps some artificial sweetener reside in the slight airy and pleasant nose. This beer then takes a turn for the worse... Tart and remarkably stale cherries pair with something unpleasant in the flavor (couldn’t put a finger on what it was)... very sweet for no good reason. The tartness was nice, but the nastiness above is what lingered in the finish. Started nice, but turned out to be less-than-ideal when it hit the lips.

bottle. Sweet aroma, but the flavour isn’t sweet. Quite hoppy and slightly bitter, combined with fruity flavours of cherries. Hoppy and dry finish.
