Red color with a quite lasting pink head. Had this after driving from Copenhagen to Brussels, and I think I deserved better after all those miles. Had a quite weak aroma. Sour/sourish flavor and alot less fruity than expected. Thin.

24th September 2010. Tin shared by Harrisoni on the way to Borefts. Cheers Ian! Light carbonated palate. Lagerish medium cherry, sweet but not cloying. Finishes crisp and with err more cherry! Okay.

Its taste reminds me the old days when I was drinking cheap Polish Wino brand Wino. The cherry content was not overly aggressive yet mouth feel was strongly earthy, slightly acidic.

Light aroma of cherry syrup. Nice rocky, lasting head with beautiful lacing on top of a clear, light orange-brown liquid (a bit darker than the Framboise). Medium body, sticky and syrupy sweet, only very slightly sour. Kind of flat, syrupy taste of cherries, some sour apple flavors and malt as well. Doesn’t taste as clean and fresh and crisp as other Belgian lambics. Less cloying and flat compared to the Framboise.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2003 Although no Girardin Kriek or one of the other great real krieks I do however enjoy this one on a summer evening. Strong cherry aroma. Red color, pink head, good lace. Sweet, light sour, cherry, no wood however. Long cherry finish and a little dry.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2006 A very nice dark cherry aroma with dark red color. Flavor of dark cherry but rather weak - did not match what I anticipated from the aroma. Shared with a group - the guys hated it and the girls liked it - there you go. Addendum: Had a bottle cellared for about 18 months, a totally different beer - aroma takes on the more traditional mustiness with cherry sweetness greatly fading. Flavor matches aroma - a musty, dry light cherry flavor. Aging made this much more like a traditional lambic.
