Poured a deep red with foamy pink-white head. Aromas of cherry. Sweet cherry taste with slight tartness and a hint of maltiness. slight lingering hop taste. Lacing on the glass, though no head retention.

Smells strongly of cherry, a very red color. Flavor is quite sweet and with any crazy funk. Very similar to the Lindemans.

Beer 6 Belgium trip. Ordered the unidentified kriek off the hotel room service menu for kicks just to see what would be sent up. No surprise, this stuff is everywhere in Belgium. Deep rose color, light pink head, nose of sour cherries. Flavor matches, but a little too sweet for me. No real funk here. Fun, but not serious.

Rich ruby red colour with an interesting pink head. The beer itself is crystal clear. Fairly prominent yeastly smelling with lots of sweet cherry fruit. There are obvious notes of cinnamon and allspice. Plenty of cherry flavour that has a nice spicy finish. Although the beer is quite sweet, the finish was dry enough to prevent it from seeming cloying. Nice.

Interesting..my first lambic. Poured a darker-than-cherry red with a frothy pink head. Smells of cherries (a little sour). Taste is the same, but not sour like lemon juice. It was fairly sweet with a champagnesque effervescence.

great pink ruby hue, with a slightly pinkish head. aroma is sweet, added sugar? definate pleasant cherry and woody aroma backed by a tart acidic smell. once on the palate the cherrys again, with some other dark fruit, plums and dark grapes i think. Woodyness again in the palate but i think it may be from the cherry seeds more than the oak barrels. Slightly tart, but not as tart and dry as i had expected from a lambic, i expect there are sugars added after fermentation to make it more palatable for the general public.

A lovely looking brew with a nice head and a beautiful cherry aroma. First sip is a bit strange - unless you subsist on fruity beers - but it settles down nicely and a bit of sourness comes forth. Sweetness disappears and it leaves a nice aftertaste.

Very sweet for a kriek. Good as an introduction beer for the style - popular with girls (compared to other lambic)
