3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rederic (2269) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 26, 2005
Copper-red hue, with a pink foamy head. Sweet cherries even shade of raspberries with shy oaky note lambic in the aromas, follow a medium-bodied of sweet cheery note in the palate with a mild tartness and a shy acidity on the finish. A mild kriek lambic for the none-initiated
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hefevice (72) - Brisbane beer desert, AUSTRALIA - APR 8, 2005
375ml bottle with cork and cage. Could hardly get a head on this one at all which marks down the appearance a little in this case. Very interesting hazy red garnet colour with a slight amber tint. Sour fruity cherry aroma with a little oak in the background. Taste starts with cherry laden fruitiness, then becomes sour with a slight tannin finish. Even though there was no head in my case, the carbonation felt about right and the feel was quite smooth. Looking forward to trying more lambics, I don’t mind this style.

First lambic beer at a small bar in Bruges. Bottle. Poured ruby red. Strong cherry odour. Somewhat sweet. Fell in love with this beer style after this first bottle, relected in rating.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JanEric (661) - Meppel, NETHERLANDS - JUN 6, 2010
Bottle. Reddish colour, with a dense white reddish head. Aroma is cherries, krieken, and raspberries. Sour taste, slightly bitter, fizzling in the mouth. Fruity, with a slightly bitter and sourish finish. Nice to drink, thirstquenching.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kristall-König (1552) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 26, 2011
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Benzai (2298) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUL 4, 2011
Red color. Pretty thick white head which lasts quite a while. Smell sweet and a little sour. Taste is mainly sweet, little hints of red fruit, little sourness. Not the worst kriek I’ve ever had.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 DondVille (1) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 27, 2010 does not count
Quite a nice beer for the hot summer days, I like the slight sourness of the naturally yeasted beer, and the sour cherry gives it an extra zing. For a comercial Kriek it is quite good and as long as you don’t have a beer specialty shop. This beer will do quite nicely and keep you nicely amused without any nasty aftertaste.
