3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jmm1 (114) - ANDORRA - AUG 31, 2007
From 375ml bottle. Ruby red with a pinky fluffy head that leaves a nice lacing. Obviously a strong cherry nose but not overwhelming. Sweet and sour cherry in mouth, but a light watery finish. Medium carbonation with a high sourness makes it easy to drink, but it lacks some body. An average kriek.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (2977) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 18, 2004
The first Lambic I ever tried. Left me a bit dissapointed. Maybe it was the bottle, maybe it was that fine kriek smell that made me expect something special. Don’t know now. The colour was a nice deep red, but the head was big, and pink (which was in a way off-putting). The taste was sour, with the cherries barely showing from time to time, and it felt watered down.

Pours light ruby with a fully receding white head. Aroma of cherries, apple, and leather. Taste is sweet, lightly tart, and a bit syrupy of cherry. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly sticky with soft foamy carbonation.

Interesting beer. Faded red/brown colour and pink head. Strong cherry notes but does not dominate. Quite tart with some interesting flavour notes. Good, but I wouldn’t have more than one.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a light pink head. Dry sulphorish cherry aroma. Flavour is dry cherry with a light citric note. Dry cherry finish. Simple yet seems authentic. Mild citric note too.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 EithCubes (3053) - GERMANY - FEB 19, 2006
Bottled under the name La Becasse Kriek (5.1%), enjoyed at a substandard restaurant near one of the world’s most famous cemetaries, in Paris. My first lambic. Blood/cherry red pour, pink head. Huge, sweet cherry aroma. Flavor followed as expected. Creamy mouthfeel. A bit too sweet and doesn’t really emphasize the sourness of the cherries, but not bad.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jkbier (24) - Kiel, GERMANY - MAR 4, 2006
Bottle. Dark red with a huge, bubbly pink head. Aroma of cherry drops, though not very strong. Palate is a little sticky, with good carbonation. Flavor of cherry juice in the beginning, followed by a crisp malt. Ends with a somewhat acidic finish. Interesting beer.
