750 ml bottle best by 1989 date poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of ivory foam. Aromas of cherry candy, bread and light barnyard. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a syrupy finish. Flavors of cherry candy, bread and light barnyard with a smooth lingering sweet cherry finish.

Bottled. Dark red, beige foamy head. Bitter cherry aroma. Sour cherry flavour, which leaves an oily palate. A bit of apple in the finnish too. A bit artificial.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) Beautiful deep, almost rusty red. A touch of red also in the head. Fruity (juice only I reckon) and fresh. Not really bad for a commercial kriek. 300693

Sweet candy-like cherry aroma, bright red color. Some slight head when poured, but it faded fairly quickly. Sweet-but-bitter flavors of candy-like cherry and some bitterness. Mouthfeel was soft and somewhat syrupy, but finished up fairly dry and astringent. Decent, but not a style that I often go for.

In general I don’t like non-beer flavours, however this was quite drinkable. It looked like a coke with a frothy pale pink head, but the aroma was attractive. I found the taste quite complex: there was fruity sourness and sweetness with just a hint of bitterness in the background.

A dark red colour with a small red-white head. Sweet and sour taste. If you are more into sour trie the 37.5cl corked bottle, the 25cl bottle is sweeter. (Bottle 25cl, corked bottle 37.5cl)

Light aroma of cherries and oak. Beautiful red hue body with no head whatsoever. Tastes like the "rockets" candy that cheap parents give out to kids on Halloween. Slightly astringent and bitter with provocative lingering cherry aftertaste. Good beverage although I must admit it was difficult to discern where the beer began and the Dr. Pepper finished.
