wcampbell (445), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 12, 2007 Decent. Tastes like sparkling juice. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Light bitterness to the finish. Very refreshing drink. No complexity, only cherry flavor.
KiwiJonno (60), Christchurch, New Zealand Oct 29, 2008 Tried this at the Belgium Beer Cafe. Reddish beer. The aroma of this beer is overpoweringly of cherrys. The taste also is of rich strong cherrys, followed by the sour/tart cherry stone taste. Slightly thin beer hense the 2 rating. Not much else to this beer apart from Cherrys but pleased I tried this one. fata2683 (222), APO, New York, USA Oct 26, 2008 Bottle(classique) poured into a tumbler. Appearance is dark red with a light white head. Smells like cherry syrup. Taste is light with some sweet cherry and light bitter and sour in the finish. It’s highly carbonated and keeps it fresh and light. Not as sour as I thought it would be, but its not bad for a commercial kriek Rciesla (1136), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 1, 2008 Served on draft in Japan. Pours a beautiful dark red body with a fuzzy pink head. Very strongly cherry and very sweet. Very drinkable with a dry finish. Slight hint of oak. weaselkenievil (397), Cheshire, England Sep 21, 2008 Bottle. Dark as hell in here so can’t really give much notes on appearance. Smells very tart and overly cherry-fied but the taste isn’t too bad. Cherry cherry cherry all over the place. Thought it was ok.
Pours clear and golden amber with a light pink head. Dry sulphorish cherry aroma. Flavour is dry cherry with a light citric note. Dry cherry finish. Simple yet seems authentic. Mild citric note too.
