wetherel (1151), Encinitas, California, USA Dec 2, 2007 Bottle from quiroga opened generously at the Pizza Port Strong Ale festival. The last beer I drank for the night. What a way to finish the night. Incredible sour aroma that you could enjoy smelling without ever tasting the beer. Shocked to a 1.3 rating, but then some don’t like sour beers. I also think they should avoid beers they know they will dislike. Anway. Cloudy light redish, amberish color. Tart sourness that always gives me the illusion of sweetness, even though it may be dry. Possibly because I’m reminded of sour cherries, which reminds me cherries which are sweet. Sour and sweet are often together in many fruits in the world. Thus a lot of fruitiness associated with the beer as well. Beers like this I wish I could have in large quantities to drink for dinner and regularly. I don’t think that will ever happen, but one can hope in the future. Excellent beer.
