750 ml corked & caged bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, decent white head. Pleasant aroma of bière de garde yeast and citrussy and herbal hops. Refreshing and fairly sophisticated and crisp bière de garde flavour, with well balanced herbal hops throughout. Enjoyable.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - A light golden body, frothy white head that laces nicely. a bit of a yeasty nose, banana, clove, dough. The taste has a bit of bite, the clove-i-ness hits the back of the mouth on the way down and leaves a lasting finish, yet stays refreshing. A good one, but not that unique.

Much more a ’Bier de garde’ than a ’IPA’ . Thin head with light carbonation, light pale body. Little hop aroma or bitterness, distinct belgian yeast flavours. Nice enough nowhere close to an IPA though. Still a hundred times closer than Greene king!

Pour is a clear golden color, little bit of yeast floating around, with a fluffy white head. Very floral nose, slightly spicy and citrusy, some pine, and a little grassy. Grassy and slightly peppery taste, there’s some not-quite-dark fruit in there, almost a perfumey taste. Light bodied, medium carbonation. Quite tasty, very floral, but the aroma was a lot better than the taste.
