After the positive reactions of our customers toward Bellerose Biere Blonde Extra, we have brewed this special version. It has a ruby colour and undergoes generous hopping (It is Christmas !) to obtain even more surprising flavours. Completed with festive dry hopping Bellerose de Noël makes a true gift, a biere ruby EXTRA.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours lively copper red into the glass with a fine white head that settles to a nice inviting veil. The nose is caramel and dried fruit. All very cristmassy indeeed so far. The taste is sweetish, more of the same as the nose, like a sunday fruit cake. A tad too sweet. It is also very light in the mouth, so there’s not much more than pilsener malt and crystal malt in the bill. But the hops is backing up nicely and so it isn’t all unbalanced. A lovely x-mas beer if you ask me.

Slightly red with a small head. Light Christmas taste and some herbs and spices. Taste short and palate diminishing and vague. Not my Xmas beer. But still not bad at a all.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Rather short head. Clear red-amber color beer. Dry spicy aroma. Spicy taste with a low sweetness and some caramell and a small bitterness.

Bottled. Brown colour with a big fluffy slightly off-white head that leaves lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some wooden and resiny notes along with some ripe fruits as well as some spices. Flavour is very similar with also some slight yeast and mild alcohol notes to it. Rather than disturb, the alcohol sweetness actually gives the beer a nice little kick.

Bottle from systembolaget. Pours Amber with a small white head. Nose is bland with some sweet malts and alcohol. Taste is sweet with caramel and malts together with some spices. Palate is a bit oily and easy. Overall a pleasant beer, though no blockbuster.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep amber with a decent head. Nose - grass and pineapple notes. Taste - mountain herbs, lemon pith and booze note. Palate - close to medium bodied with a lean but concentrated middle section and a dry tangy finish. Overall - makes me think a bit Biere de Garde, a bit saison. Kept my interest.

Dracks till julbordet, passade lite sådär. Rätt lätt, lite spritig men samtidigt även kryddig. Fruktig som ett veteöl eller saison. Ett bra öl som är trevlig att dela på.

Tap@bishops folkungag. Brown clear. Malty, slight woody vinous, clove cinnamon spicy nose. Med bodied, soft smooth. Nutmeg, clove, med spiced, malty brown. Feels like a traditional ale, or something medieval. Not really my thi, vevn tho the ale itself is clean, well made.

Pours amber with a thick beige head. Aroma has mostly hops and Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet, spicy, quite a lot of hops, cereals/malt and some soapy note. Medium body, high carbonation, smooth and round.
Pretty much a "Meh" beer for me. Nothing special, nothing bad.

Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. A dark amber coloured beer that pours with a large foamy head. It has a sugary sweet citrus and toffee flavour, vanilla, cloves and cinnamon with a slight tart and creamy almond finish.
