Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/10/2011. Amber with a slight white head. Yeasty, stoned fruit aroma with some sweetish malts. More fruit and yeast in the flavour, with a decent bitter finish. Not for me.

Bottled, 500ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Hazy orange amber with white head. Malt driven but with a taste like stale stewed tea, boiled vegetable background, some bitterness. The whole is quite off putting, didn’t enjoy this.

bottle in field at cropredy day 3 .. hazy amber ... soft thin head ... soft lemon nose ... dull toffee malts ... light bitter ... dull boring and no depth or character.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 07.08.11 Pours amber, touch cloudy with a white head. Touch soapy in mouth in fact not unlike a splash of washing up liquid, though I rinsed my glass thoroughly so must be something in the beer. Some plastic on the nose otherwise not much else. Taste is a little better, but not unlike the significantly better Summer beer, there is a a plasticy flavour to this as well I wonder if in the brewing process there is burnt malts sticking and not coming clear which may then slightly taint and tarnish the next beer. It’s an ok beer with a softness in the mouth, devoid of much in the way of hops though they do show towards the end. It’s just ok. A4 A3 T5 P3 Ov9 2.4

500ml bottle thanks to the ever generous and wonderful couple that are Fin and Loz. They got me this as part of my race to 10k so thanks for the beer and the rate. Pours a copper colour with a slight haze. Thin ring of bubbles on top. Aroma of citrusy hops. Its a little yeasty in the flavour. Some muted malts and some orange tangerine flavours from the hops. Low to medium bitterness on the finish which is aided by the prickly carbonation. Yeast and a little rubber are quite dominant in the flavour. Ok bitter
