Bellot Cidre Brut

Bottle. Soapy, ashen mineral aroma. Golden, fine bubbles. Apple, light fermented, annoying ashen notes. Lightbodied, sparkly mouthfeel. Neutral finish.

Champage style bottle - Cidre Grande Cuvee de la Foret d’othe @ 4%. Sweet spicy apple juice aromas. Has the full rounded creamy body of french cider. On the dryish side (for a Frech cider) but with a respectable amount of residual sweetness and the odd hint of acidity. A pleasant alternative to apple juice if a bit too much fizz.

Bottled. 0.75l. Normal cider colour and a bit of a head at first. "Apfelmosty" aroma. Tastes appley, medium sweet, almost no tartness, but has a big drying effect on the tongue, and ends also quite dry. I liked it pretty much.
