COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Amber-red color, dissipating head. Subtle aromas of sweet orange, subdued spiciness. Rich flavors and mouthfeel. Quite sweet and fruity, very satisfying.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2007 Awesome. The label is pretty lame though. Nice fruity hop aroma and taste. A little sweet, too. rerate. probably the best the amber i’ve had. total balance between hops and a sweet malt. excellent.

Not bad. Deep reddish color, white head. Not much aroma. Pleasant malt sweetness.

Amber appearance. Aroma is a spicy orange. Flavor is slightly bitter with some sweet citrus notes. Creamy aftertaste. Considering the style Bells has done a fantastic job with this beer. A must for a session drinker!

not bad..not good. typical amber though cloudier than most. Finish was very lager like and not enjoyable.

Light carmel/amber color, low/moderate amount of carbonation. There is a slight amount of haze, but very little. The head disappeared pretty quick. Average aroma for an amber, metallic and malty. Malty and metal also in the flavor, pretty good, just what one would expect from Bell's. It's a shame though, that I had to spend my evening on Valentine's Day with this instead of my girlfriend in CO.

Pours with a look of a lite iced tea... well, except for the thick tan head! I noticed that this beer is nicely carbonated, and has floating sediment. First wiff of this stuff tells you that it is sweet. Extremely drinkable, especially for the style. Alchohol, though not strong, is present. I definitely would say that the Amber Ale is a spicy beer. The aftertaste is pleasant, and equals the delight of actually drinking the beer. I love it!

Perfectly bright amber color, full, fresh, head of foam, soon setling. Aroma: all-malty, nutty, smooth. Taste: nice, but brief, hop buzz, then comes the rich, tasty maltiness, sweet, caramelly. Extraordinarily drinkable, an eminent candidate for a session ale if there ever was one. Medium bodied, zesty hops, a bit buttery, warm and delicious. A very nice throw'em-back kind of ale, the Bell's flagship brew, and a beer I would never refuse. Yum.

It was a good amber, all be it a weak one. I would have liked a little more robust of a taste. It was a bit too watery for me.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2004 Hazy light amber with a medium off white head. Light aroma of caramel, honey and citrus. Medium light watery body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very drinkable, this would make a decent session beer. Slightly fruity sweet flavor ending with a bready small hop bite. Nothing special, but decent nonetheless.
