| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Three strong and distinct flavors roll through the mouth at every sip. On first taste, you are greeted by an intense malty sweetness, which soon gives way to strong fruit notes. This is strange, because I could not exactly pin what fruit, but it’s definitely fruit. Just as you are finishing with the fruit, a slightly dry, bitter ending comes to remind you to take another sip.
I was very surprised when I was almost done with this brew so soon after I started. BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2009 12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors in Lutz, FL. Pours a cloudy golden-yelllow with a medium white head. Aroma is nice citrus, honey, and brown sugar. Flavor is very balanced...Initially, white grapes and sweet citrus, followed up with some slight bitterness on the finish. Medium-light mouthfeel. Very smooth, slightly bitter aftertaste. This is a great session beer..You won’t find an amber with more flavor. soccer290 (140), Highland Park, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2009 12 oz bottle. Also had this on draught once, which was decent, but for this rating, the bottle. Pours an absolutely beautiful amber color with a small white/off-white head. Smells of caramel malt, fruit, and fresh hops. Tastes of caramel, some fruit that I can’t discern, and a little hop presence. Very smooth going down, leaving a slightly sweet aftertaste. Overall a very good amber ale (though ambers aren’t my favorite), better than a Fat Tire, and I think it was better from the bottle personally. Chipper (195), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2009 Copper color with a moderate off-white head. Malty aroma with fruit and little hops. The flavor is smooth, a little sweet and the hops come through nicely. Good stuff. GJF (522), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2009 This is one of those styles I’m never quite sure what to do with--can signify about anything. Generally I tend not to drink ambers, but this is pretty nice. A good bit of caramel in the nose and in the flavor with a crisp finish. kmyers8807 (41), Ohio, USA
