COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

It is always exciting to try something I haven’t had before from Bell’s. And it is always a let down when the beer doesn’t taste anything like what you think it will. Amber pour. Fairly yeasty, funky aroma. Pretty sour and citrusy for the style - earthy and flavorful, with a bit of kvass. In fact, looking at the other reviews, it seems my bottle may have been infected - but not to the point where it was ruined. It is still pretty good, but I would like to try it again.

Appearance: medium brown with some auburn highlights. Aroma: malts, some caramel sweetness; subtly floral hops. Taste: toasted malts balanced by hop bitterness. Finish: short, slightly bitter and dry. Notes: I love Bell’s, but this isn’t my favorite of their offerings.

Bottle. Vibrant burnt brown orange; great finger of white foam. Aroma is slightly hoppy, bit of earth, and light maltiness. Fairly basic, but nice juicy hops come in at the end of the flavor and really well-balanced. Nice enough, and easily a sessioner.

Amber/copper pour with small short-lived head. Raisins, cereal and malt aromas. Medium body, good carbonation and some creaminess rounds it out. Toasted flavors, molasses, balanced hops and malts, mild bitterness on the finish. Very enjoyable amber. Easy drinking with some complexity.

Amber pour, nice tannish head. Bright aroma. A nice balanced taste, dry hops and caramel malt notes. Almost like a bock, nice fruitiness.

I’ve had this on tap and in bottles. Both experiences were pretty good. For an amber ale, it does finish well.
