3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SturmWulf (65) - USA - MAY 4, 2009
Poured into my pint. Served at 45 degrees. The aroma was quite powerful and had a hay aroma with a touch of grass, fruit and flowers. Not my style but not bad. Poured a hazy light red with a huge light tan foamy head that left lots of lacing, flavor started sweet with fruity, peppery, grassy taste that finished with a long harsh bitter that was a bit too much for my taste. Body was medium with thin oily texture, very soft carbonation and as mentioned before a long bitter finish. Not my style of beer but I usually like what Bell’s has to offer. I didn;t hate this beer, but I didn;t care all that much for it and wouldn’t ever buy another. Not bad, just not good either.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2009
On tap at Otto’s Bar and Grill, Lombard, IL., Bell’s pint glass served. Poured a deep, brownish amber with a light tan, foamy head and thick, foamy, sheet-like lacing. The nose was toasty, malt, and a touch of yeast. The flavor followed the same path adding a hint of caramel, and some complimentary hop bitterness. The mouthfeel was creamy, the body was medium, and the beer as a whole was tasty.

Pours a golden amber hue with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, brown sugar and some citrus. Bold, slightly sweet flavor includes hints of malts, hops, caramel, some sweetnees and fruits, and honey with a bit of a bitter finish. Very good amber. On a side note, I really like the label on this beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerandIT (298) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 20, 2009
Less than an inch of head on a golden amber pour. Strong bread characteristics with this one. I had had quite a bit by this point though so may have to re-rate later. Malts, a small hint of hops on the nose. For being an amber this laces the glass really well. I would recommend this amber.
