COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Very brown and caramel flavor. Full and bodied with the burnt caramel and coffee undertones. Smells of coffee and herbal hop notes. These undertones make it great on its own as well as paired with food. One of my favorite beers to drink on its own.

Pours a nice amber color. Lots of bread, biscuit, and toasty notes on the nose. Dark fruits come through on the palate, end with sweetness.

Go to amber ale. Does have Bells yeast unique flavor that lingers in a good way. Clearly intended to be hop mild... It is a Michigan staple. Not to be passed on... It’s exactly what’s meant to be.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a brown colored body and leaves a moderately sized white head that lasts for about thirty seconds. Nice spotty lacing appears and some light carbonation is seen rising. The smell was sweet and has some light hops coming in as the beer warms. The taste was basically the same with a dry malty aftertaste. The palate was about a medium and had a dry finish. Overall, this is a solid American Amber/Red Ale that I would have again.

Tap from Lazy Dog. Pours a transparent dark gold with a little bit of off white head. Aroma floralish hops and malts. Taste of pretty much the same.
