COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Bottle at home. Aroma of grassy hops and slightly roasty malts. Sweet in the middle with hints of cinnamon. Dry balanced finish.

Cloudy light reddish orange with a minimal tan head. Light sweet citrus and floral notes, hay. Crisp upfront bitterness that quickly fades into a sweeter body then re-emerges in the finish. Slightly watery, light body. Medium finish. High amount of acidity and fair amount of acidity. Well balanced.

12oz bottle into Tulip. Minneapolis. Copper/orange in color. Little to no head. Aroma is grainy - hay and cereal, rye. Nutty. Very subtle peachy aroma. Taste is very slightly sweet. Mostly just dry. Very clean and refreshing. Body is medium-light. Soft carbonation. Smooth texture.

Draft. Pours almost clear amber/copper with a thick, fizzy off white head. Tastes sweet and nutty, like dry toasted malt, light grapefruit hops, musky. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Light aroma of grapefruit, caramel, and toast, and nutty malt.

Sampled at Northgate Liqours tasting. This is light and sweet and refreshing and all the other adjectives that amber ales aspire for. This one nails it. I hope this is cheap because itís going to be my new go-to easy drinking beer.

Bottle from ABC. Pours a muddy brown with minimal head and very thin lacing. Iím not sure if itís because of how long Iíve had it, but the particles are insane. Super citrus aroma with an equally strong floral backbone; some caramel malt as well. Taste is extremely sweet, light on the palate, and creamy on the finish. As always, very refreshing, and one of the best amber ales Iíve had. Acquire.

This is the type of beer you enjoy from the first sight to the last sip. 20oz Tap at Shamrock. Red amber gold with chill haze and strong white head. Brilliant floral hop aroma with sweet malt backing. Sweet amber toasted malt with good floral slightly orange citrus flavor hops. Insanely drinkable.

Pours medium amber with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma is decidedly German, meaning it smells a lot like a dunkel. Unfortunately I feel like it might not be a fresh bottle. Taste is quite bitter, but not in a good hoppy way. Has a strong bitter malt flavor. The aftertaste just keeps on giving. This was disappointing.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, orange, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fairly sweet, and the nose is simple (nice fruity hops though), but itís clean and enjoyable enough.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2015 Poured from brown bottle into a pilsner glass a: a good hazy, rusty orange/gold color. beer is very cold so a gentle pour only yields a small amount of head. minimal lacing and little visible carbonation in the sediment. this is not a clear beer. s: slight hops with a spicy bit of sweetness, very subtle smell overall. t: mild but upfront hop bite gives way to a sort of fruity sweet malt taste. oranges and pumpkin bread? quite well balanced with nothing stealing the show. extremely refreshing despite the haze and easily sessionable. very tasty beer. i was expecting more alcohol hotness but thankfully it is not noticeable. m: soft but full. maybe a little wheaty which i generally donít care for but is nice here. carbonation is present but very subdued. lingering flavors seem to maintain balance with maybe a bit of hop stickiness dominating the finish. o: my first experience with Bellís Amber was a good one. nice tasty and well balanced beer will not put off anyone except maybe those freaked out by cloudy appearance. not a favorite but definitely glad I tried it!
