3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 15, 2015 Poured from brown bottle into a pilsner glass
a: a good hazy, rusty orange/gold color. beer is very cold so a gentle pour only yields a small amount of head. minimal lacing and little visible carbonation in the sediment. this is not a clear beer.
s: slight hops with a spicy bit of sweetness, very subtle smell overall.
t: mild but upfront hop bite gives way to a sort of fruity sweet malt taste. oranges and pumpkin bread? quite well balanced with nothing stealing the show. extremely refreshing despite the haze and easily sessionable. very tasty beer. i was expecting more alcohol hotness but thankfully it is not noticeable.
m: soft but full. maybe a little wheaty which i generally donít care for but is nice here. carbonation is present but very subdued. lingering flavors seem to maintain balance with maybe a bit of hop stickiness dominating the finish.
o: my first experience with Bellís Amber was a good one. nice tasty and well balanced beer will not put off anyone except maybe those freaked out by cloudy appearance. not a favorite but definitely glad I tried it!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bellís Amber pours a mostly cloudy rusty bronze color with a decent beige head that lasts a little bit. The aroma is caramel and grain. The flavor is caramel, grain and a hint of citrus. Overall the beer is decent yet unimpressive.

2.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy amber with a frothy white head that lingers. Complex aroma profile nutty, hay, cantelope, leaves, some licorice and sulfur notes. Flavor is fairly muted: mild sweet with nutty malt. Finishes with an a dry, herby hop linger, but otherwise, almost a bit watery. Light body with a thin mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, while aroms are nice, flavor disappoints.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 fl oz bottle. Pours well, amber, and hazy with a quite a bit of sediment floaters, and a light creme coloured head. Aromas are light, but mostly caramel, and almost pilsener like straw heavy malt notes. Fuller bodied than I was expecting it starts with caramel, light resinous hops, mineral notes, and light floral notes that lead into a hefty amount of woody/toasty malt notes, and light sweetness thatís balanced out with light metallic/resinous hopping. Super sessionable, and not overwhelming in any way. This here is a top notch six-pack beer.
