Pours amber with a white head and malty aroma. Flavor is sweet, of malts and grains, and finishes crisp and bitter. Nicely balanced and good tasting beer, but nothing too speciall
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 boisebeer (17) - boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Ok my second bells ever. I got it in a little package and was like a kid in a candy store.
This beer looked amazing when I poured it into a clear pint. It glowed red Cooper with a thick finger high head that ran away quickly to a white lace
The smell was good. Not to strong or over powering.
Taste was a little sweet with a follow up of light bitters. I think there is a very mild hint of raw honey in this beer. It left me wondering how it’s taste would change as it was paired with spicy foods. My guess is amazing.
Feel was alright. It has some carbonization rolling in and sits on the tip of your tonge.
Over all I am impressed. This beer explained to me the rave about bells. Honestly I had to question it before this beer. Well done.

On Tap at Copper Cellar, Knoxville. Pours amber with a long lasting, thick white head. Aroma is of ripe fruit and caramel malt. Medium-full, creamy body. Taste is of caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops, some hints of chocolate. Long, dry finish. Tasty session brew.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ryanfolty (598) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 21, 2011
Date: December 21, 2011 Mode: Bottle Source: Shenanigans Description: Translucent golden brown pour with nice amount of head and some lacing. Malty/caramel and fruity aroma with a taste that was malty sweet though not really interesting. Slight carbonation and light to medium bodied. Don’t really care for the style so this one had an uphill battle, but it was decent.

On tap at the Monk. Nice session beer. Color is a nice amber orange with a slight haze. Aroma is of malt with some carmel notes. Taste is malty and sweet with little hop bitternes. Overall a decant amber, a good way to start the night.

You want something fairly simple, drinkable, yet complex and delicious? Bell’s Amber Ale is a damn good choice, sir.
