COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

This Amber Ale was purchased at the Caboose in Ashland, VA. Bells Brewery products have been above the average. This ale is no exception. the head was white and quickly dissapated. The deep copper color was clear and the aroma was of malt. The finish had some lingering bitterness. The body was light.

From batch 7906, packaged on April 13, 2007. The aroma is stale, earthy. The head is white big with a little lacing. The body is copper and there are little particles floating throughout the glass - looks like carbonation stuck in a jello. I don’t remember particles before - there is sediment in the bottom of the bottle. the initial flavor is weak watery not much flavor, the body is light to medium and the texture watery. The carbonation is lively. This is not a fair rating as I had a case and sat on this for too long. I’ll re-rate in the future.

Somewhat amber color with a light orange head. Moderate carbonation. Aroma is caramel malt dominated with a bit of hop. Flavor is very crisp and is more balanced than the aroma. There is some applesauce and some fruitiness to go along with the caramel malt and tart hop. Smooth and consistent. Enjoyable, too

Bottle.I love the way this glows in my glass, kind of copper penny color, kind of a thin white head but I poured it pretty carefully(dont want to spill any eh). Smells of sweet roast and bread toast, and mild hops, Oh my gosh is this stuff good, I could drink myself into a stooper every night on this stuff mmmmmmmmmm. Kind of a sweet woody finish like candy, could I have another please ? THANK YOU Mr. BELL !

Amber pour - looks like honey, slightly hazy. Sweet malty and yeast aroma. Similar flavor. Sweet with a touch of bitter hops to finish. Very crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. Fresh aroma, pale malt with light roasted caramel, along with some citrus hop, nothing crazy. Poured with a small bubbly/fizzy darker off-white head, fairly translucent with a good amount of rising carbonation, red-orange in color. Fantastic balanced in the taste, a crisp bitter at the start, then a good backing of pale and sweeter malt that continues into the finish along with a slightly sticky citrus hop that lingers briefly but nicely, medium-light body that is not watery at all. This may not quite be an extra-ordinary beer, but it is of very high quality and balanced nearly to perfection, and if I had to recommend an ale for someone just getting into beer drinking, this would be it.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2010 12 oz fresh bottle from dkachur. Thanks Dan. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is caramel, toffee and mild citrus. The flavor was dominated by sweet caramel, biscuit, pecans and a hint of oranges. The palate is full and malty with soft carbonation. Finishes short and semi-sweet. Overall: A very tasty session ale.

Pours dark amber, with small white head. Aroma is moderately malty. Tastes malty with a good hoppy flavor. Too much carbonation in the body. Finish is better than the start.
