Amber with a lite tan head. Lots of tiny bubbles and peppered with malts when held up to light. Slight bitter malty aroma. Smooth malty flavor. Nice!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Distinctly fruity aroma - orange, spice and a touch of caramel. Definately dominated by the malts; hops add just a mild bitter backbone. Spice and fruit reminds me just slightly of a German wheat beer.
Color is amber (duh...) with a small off-white head.
Taste is slightly sweet; bitterness is fairly light.
Medium to a bit light body; texture is creame/slick; carbonation about average. Finish sweet, fruity, spicy and ending with a bit of bitterness.
Overall I liked this beer more than I expected to. The fruit and spice was unexpected and distinguishes it from your average amber ale.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle dated 01/28/15. So I am having this a few months later. Don’t buy beer at convenience stores. Decent looking medium amber pour with a big, foamy off-white head. Aroma is a basic caramel malt sweetness and a mild hop note. Medium body. The taste is immediately sweet with little to no bitterness at the finish.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Didn’t pour, but appearance through glass is clean and deep amber. Aroma okay, a hint of skunk. Light-bodied, a little carbonated. Taste hard to pinpoint. A little bit of bitter aftertaste, barely detectable. A good beer for a hot day, slightly better than Killian’s, but more expensive.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured amber, half inch of foamy off white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of caramel and some hops. Taste is a bit bready, some malt notes and some fruit slightly hoppy. Tasty, enjoyable, very good beer.

Another amber ale I enjoyed very much. I have not yet found a Bell’s beer that is not enjoyable.

Average amber ale this beer lacks taste. Very little hoppy flavor. Color is good little aroma. Bells could do better.
