Pours amber with a medium white head. Arome of cirtus, ppine, and sweet malts. Taste was similar, finishing with a decent bitterness. A pleasent, but not extraordinary, beer. Good session beer (or would be if Bells were available in RI)

THOUGHTS: A nice beer, but a really good amber ale. Would have been even more outstanding if I hadn’t just finished a Red Menace just before trying this one. That one was way more flavorful, but this is way more drinkable.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a cloudy, medium amber with tiny to small body particles of an average density and a small to average off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma was light toasted, nutty and caramel malt, light hops, light to moderate doughy yeast, a little tea and slight fruitiness. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly acidic; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and lightly acidic and bitter with an average duration. There was caramel malt, a little yeast and then some tea in there somewhere too.

Picked up a six-pack of Amber Ale, and enjoyed the medium bodied, copper, hoppy ale from Bell’s. Picked up flavors of rye, fruit and caramel malt. Maybe a bit too high in alcohol for a session beer, but worked well with my palate.

Pours hazy copper with lots of sediment.. Tan head. Has a sweet, mellow caramel aroma that is very inviting. Smells malty and reminds me of leather. Very well balanced with a Belgian taste as well as a fruity taste. Finishes nicely. The palate is smooth and greasy feeling, in a good way. One of the few amber ales that I actually like.

One of the best Amber Ales I’ve ever tasted. This one doesn’t fight for your taste buds with any unruly bitterness as it’s smoother and easy to drink. A bit darker color than other Amber products. Goes down smooth, so smooth that two or three bottles have been finished. Satisfying aftertaste w/o the bitter finish. Need to distribute this in TN!!!

One of the best amber ales around. Just a nice clean aroma of hops with a beautifully balanced taste. Crisp clean finish. Excellent

A good beer for a stle i am not too fond of. Pours amber (surprise) with a modest off-white head. Prominent malt presence with hints of fruit and hops. Nice balance. Definitely a fair amount of complexity.
