COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Acknud. What a great amber ale! Poured a murky yellow amber with a small off white head, light lacing. light - medium in body, Aromas of bread, caramel malt and light hops. Finish was somewhat sweet and lasted only a few seconds. Thanks for this one!

Picked up and sampled 12-oz bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear light amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, some grassy hops and a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with a light caramel and light fruit flavor. Finish is semi-sweet, some citrus hops, and a hint of caramel malt. Overall a solid amber ale.

Draught--consumed sometime in the fall of 2006--the receipt on the other side confirms it! Pours brown, amber, with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, semi-sweet, some aroma of hops. Flavor is similar, malty, with a decent hop balance. Good beer.

Not one of Bell’s best, but a solid Amber. Looks good in a glass with a nice malty aroma to go with it. Well balanced and a little fruity.

Nice aroma of hops and grain. Flavor was leveled nicely. Good beer. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy again but still good.

slightly sweet flavor, pale malts; not bad but would not be first choice when seeking out an amber style ale.

A: The body is an exceptionally clear amber color topped with a very small white head that fell quickly. S: There is a pleasant sweet malty aroma with caramel notes from the beer. T: There is a bit of hoppiness that presents itself in the flavor; having been hidden in the aroma. This is backed up by a bit of caramel but is bitterness dominated. M: This is a good light bodied beer without being watery. D: Nothing in this beer really stands out even though it is a solid beer. A good example of an amber ale but not one to write home about. Would make a good session beer though.

Bottle. Pours a deep, hazy amber with white head. Small particles visible in beer. Aroma is caramel malts, a bit of toasty bread. Flavor is slightly toasty and caramelly, and the yeast is present. Not overly exciting, but a solid amber ale.

Botte. Pours a deep amber with a decent white head. The aroma consists of malts and sweet bread. The taste is subdued, some sweet malts, a bit of hops, some bready parts, and maybe a light side of fruit. Easy to drink and smooth. Nothing too special though.
