Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks kerenmk. Clear amber. Aroma of cardboard, malt, a bit of caramel and a bit of stale hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, cardboard and some stale hops bitterness. Medium-bodied. Too old.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle into pint glass, bright copper color with "floaties" and a small off-white head. Aroma of light caramel malt sweetness and light grassy hops. Taste adds notes of bread, slight nuttiness, slight fruitiness ending with some citrus hop bite. Medium body, low carbonation, smooth, malty ending with slight hop bitterness. Pretty tasty amber.

12 oz bottle. Pours an ugly grainy light orange/brown with light head. Not much aroma. Flavors of dried bread, toasted malts, and light fruit. Expecting more.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Smells like spaghetti sauce. Seriously. Tastes like slightly bitter malt water. Has carbonation. Garbage, like 99% of Bells products.

12oz bottle. Aroma is a good malt/hop balance. Appearance is a bronze with some lacing... With lot-o-floaters.Taste is bitter hop. A good mix of malt and hops. Palate is a filmy sweet hopness. Overall, a good amber. Would drink over and over if I could.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance is a clear amber/light brown with a slightly off white foam cap. Aroma is toasted, roasty caramel malt with no noticeable hops. Taste is sweet caramel malt that gives way to toasted notes and a crisp hop bite to balance it out with a slight citrus flavor. Mouthfeel is medium with normal carbonation. Finish is well balanced with a slight drying character. Overall a well made American amber

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Golden-orange color with a yeasty haze that sticks around; light, eggshell head, slightly creamy and quickly receding to a small collar. Aroma is kind of mild, there isn’t much to it. Some biscuits, bread, and lightly toasted malt with a touch of mildly leafy and lightly spices hops. Touch of pine, even? Taste is equally mild... Mostly malty, toasted bread, light caramel even with some hops that seem of the English persuasion; leafy & earthy with a delicate spice to them. Touch of apple skin in the finish, though it’s mostly made of malt. Not a bad sipper. Kind of bland, but still a decent, relaxing drink.

Had this one on tap at the Joe Louis for a Red Wings game. An average amber. Nothing bad, nothing great.
