3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sixpack595 (13) - USA - JAN 6, 2003
Clear copper color with full white head. Slightly sweet, fruity aromas and taste. Mild hops. I can see myself keeping this one in the fridge for macro drinkers, or more sophisticated tasters alike. Good, but accessible.

Light caramel and cereal malt aroma, amber/copper color, minimal white head, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light citrus flavor, medium body, thin feel, lively carbonation, long finish. Good offering, I prefer a little more hops but for an Amber this has a decent amount.
3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jimmeekrek (13) - - MAY 19, 2012
Possibly the best Amber Ale I’ve ever had. Rich caramel taste that never gets old. I can’t rate it super high with the huge flavors of other beers, but this is as good as it gets for this style, or at least as good as I’ve had. Delicious.

Excellent medium bodied amber ale with mild hops and moderate sweetness. Does not really have a hoppy taste.

I love the floral aroma and the light sweetness, both of which are there only for the first second or so in my mouth. Amber is my favorite beer color.

A very rich beer. I'm not much for ambers but i still enjoyed this one.

Across the board, this beer is just right, from the initially stridently peppery hop character to the soothing, mouthwatering finish, it is a classic. Economy of means makes it so--it’s like a beer version of a Graham Greene novel. It’s not the most aromatic beer, nor is the color irresistable, but the sum of the parts yields an utterly satisfying beer. It is a unique Amber Ale, which I agree with a previous reviewer, is a pretty boring category.

A very good amber. Sweet and slightly hoppy. Tasty flavor with caramel malt and mild bitterness. Easy drinking and very enjoyable.
