COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Bottle. Aroma of hop over caramel. Amber color with a huge, frothy white head. Thin to medium body with very mild carbonation. Flavor is kind of bready with fruity/floral hop. Finish is more dry than sweet. Seems more like an ESB, but perhaps the bitter is inadequate for that. Pretty good, but seems bland. Barring the 6% it would be a good session beer.

Hazy amber ale with a very thin white head. Small floaties. Aroma is sweet and fruity but not very hoppy. In mouth, a nice sweet nutty malt with woody notes, and light raisins. A lingering malt remains, with powdery and light oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. From piscator, Nov. 2005. Merci Kris.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2003 RBSG2003 (extended) On tap at the brewery. Clear, deep golden brew. Small, creamy, white head which retains well. Nice lacing. The aroma is of white bread, butterscotch, honey-butter and a subtle, unidentified, fuzzy fruit. Creamy, rich flavor. Caramelly and malty up front. Nicely bittered and balanced on the backside. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Bitter, dry, grassy finish!

Cask at Churchkey. Amber color (I would hope so), thick off white head, solid lacing. Subtle caramel aroma and a taste of smooth butterscotch balanced with a late subtle hoppiness. Decent.

Tap at MSP airport. Pale amber beer with a nice tight white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy with a nice fresh crackery/caramelly maltiness. Pretty nice chewy sweetness. There is a light noble sweetness on the back. Quite vienna-ish, despite it being an ale. Good balance of spicy hops and sweet malts.
