COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

poured into a pilsner glass (i like to stuff my nose in there), out of a 12oz bottle. aroma was of yeast and citrus, not very strong. came out with a decent 1 finger head with great retention and medium lacing. i picked up mostly citrus and an underbelly of malt. mouthfeel was average, carbonation was kind of heavy, but otherwise it was enjoyable. the finish was unexpected, built strong but then fell flat. regardless iíd drink another one, a decent brew.

Not bad, but kind of boring. This style isnít too wild in general, but Iím kind of pissed off I spent so much money on this six pack. Could be much worse though as it is certainly drinkable and quite good, but nothing I would buy on a regular basis and nothing that overly impressed me.

My Bottom Line:
Caramelized malts galore make up most of this Amber Aleís flavour profile, for a well executed but infinitely linear recipe.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy, dull amber.
-There are so many caramel malt flavours here, the flavour profile becomes reminiscent of a diluted barley wine.
-Light fruitiness comes from the malts.
-Citrusy hops are really not important; this is not really balanced.
-The finish is storyless; just more of the same.

Bottle.

Draught at TND: Very slight aroma of malt. Poured amber/orange in color with a large, loose, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Very sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, light Earth, light hops, and light chestnut. Medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Earth and malt finish. A quality amber ale.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 Tap. Clear reddish amber pour. Thin white head. Caramel malt nose. Big malt bomb on taste with caramel and bread notes.

Well, itís a very approachable beer- but this web site isnít really built on the most approachbale beers now is it? The aroma is fairly unremarkable, almost too balanced, nothing really exciting. The taste is well balanced and still gives the edge to the hops, albeit not very powerful. For what it is though, itís a good beer. Something I would probably reach for on a hot day at a BBQ.

Bottle split with Tony and Pat. Pours a beautiful dark, hazy amber body. Aroma is slight skunk and malts. The mouthfeel is thin with notes of malt. Seemed sort of overrated, but still solid considering the style

This one didnít impress me. I LOVE Bellís but their Amber fell a bit short. Aroma is of sweet caramel malts, hops are non-existent. It drinks smooth with a lot of sweetness, although not cloying. Bellís is better than this.

Aroma - kind of that lager aroma. Light malty taste, just a bit of bitterness. Dark copper color. OK, but nothing special for me. Could be a good session beer, but wouldnít be my first choice.
