Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Bottled. A murky amber beer with a medium orange head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with strong notes of caramel and lesser notes of metal, while the flavor is sweet malty again with strong notes of caramel, but lesser notes of berries. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle. Pours nearly clear amber with a thin white had. Pine-nut nose. Medium body and carbonation. Lots caramel, nuts and bread in the taste. Crisp finish.

#300. 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Amber with lasting head and lace and flaoters, even though I left half an inch in the bottle. Very mild aroma of hop and light alcohol. Mild caramel and fruit and nut with medium bitterness. Fairly dry. Medium body and carb. Decent enough. I’m not much of an amber fan. A little hoppy for the style.

This amber has a nice note of hops its not bells best but worthy of the name. Fruit flavor is a little weak but the fulfilling palate of hops makes up for it.

Clear dark amber with a good off-white head. Aroma has a faint woody character coupled with amber malt (obviously). Flavor includes wood, nuts, and roasted malt. Good medium body; smooth with light carbonation. Overall: poundable and without flaw. Scratch that, a bit of a metallic flavor comes out as it warms, but still a fine brew.

Pours dark amber, with small white head. Aroma is moderately malty. Tastes malty with a good hoppy flavor. Too much carbonation in the body. Finish is better than the start.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2011 Pours perfect amber with a 2 finger off white head, poor retention but small chunks of lacing along the way. Aroma has plenty of grainy malt,, caramel, maybe a little vanilla, a touch of toffee, tree fruit and some mild citrus hops. Flavor has a more grainy malt, and planty hops, light toffee, mineral notes and a touch of earthy leaves. Finish is bitter and planty hops with some lingering grainy malts. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky feel and medium, but sharp carbonation. All around decent, but boring. Re-rated 12.13.2011, original 11.27.2008.

Cloudy brown color. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor up front is candy sugar sweet. Mid palate is big malt and the finish has a tinge of hop bitterness. Light bodied and pretty quick on the finish. Good balance with some nutty characteristics in the flavor.

Bells variety case from Neffsville Beer Mart, Lancaster, PA...bottle pours reddish amber, hazy with sediment...aroma was malty, grassy...taste was much of the same with some apricot...pretty good.
