Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

poured into a pilsner glass (i like to stuff my nose in there), out of a 12oz bottle. aroma was of yeast and citrus, not very strong. came out with a decent 1 finger head with great retention and medium lacing. i picked up mostly citrus and an underbelly of malt. mouthfeel was average, carbonation was kind of heavy, but otherwise it was enjoyable. the finish was unexpected, built strong but then fell flat. regardless iíd drink another one, a decent brew.

Not bad, but kind of boring. This style isnít too wild in general, but Iím kind of pissed off I spent so much money on this six pack. Could be much worse though as it is certainly drinkable and quite good, but nothing I would buy on a regular basis and nothing that overly impressed me.

My Bottom Line:
Caramelized malts galore make up most of this Amber Aleís flavour profile, for a well executed but infinitely linear recipe.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy, dull amber.
-There are so many caramel malt flavours here, the flavour profile becomes reminiscent of a diluted barley wine.
-Light fruitiness comes from the malts.
-Citrusy hops are really not important; this is not really balanced.
-The finish is storyless; just more of the same.

Draught at TND: Very slight aroma of malt. Poured amber/orange in color with a large, loose, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Very sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, light Earth, light hops, and light chestnut. Medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Earth and malt finish. A quality amber ale.

Brief write-up. No, this one isnít very interesting, but itís drinkable and goes with lunch/dinner quite well. I could have used more hoppiness, though. Fat Tire fans will love it.

Bottle. Pours clear orange with a bunch of micro floaties. Small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is caramel, not much else. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, nondeScript. Medium body.

Bottle from Wegmans Sterling - had this one a couple days ago and frankly, I can remember it. Not really a ringing endorsement.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Golden-orange color with a yeasty haze that sticks around; light, eggshell head, slightly creamy and quickly receding to a small collar. Aroma is kind of mild, there isnít much to it. Some biscuits, bread, and lightly toasted malt with a touch of mildly leafy and lightly spices hops. Touch of pine, even? Taste is equally mild... Mostly malty, toasted bread, light caramel even with some hops that seem of the English persuasion; leafy & earthy with a delicate spice to them. Touch of apple skin in the finish, though itís mostly made of malt. Not a bad sipper. Kind of bland, but still a decent, relaxing drink.
