Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Huge foamy head and a nice clear amber color. Great hops nose. Great balance of malt and hops. Just enough sweet, just enough bitter and a lightly bitter yet clean finish. Amazing. Wish I had grabbed more than one.

Across the board, this beer is just right, from the initially stridently peppery hop character to the soothing, mouthwatering finish, it is a classic. Economy of means makes it so--itís like a beer version of a Graham Greene novel. Itís not the most aromatic beer, nor is the color irresistable, but the sum of the parts yields an utterly satisfying beer. It is a unique Amber Ale, which I agree with a previous reviewer, is a pretty boring category.

Good times with Bells, this was probably my favorite of the ones I had this weekend. Its actually alot more like it’s Kalamazoo cousin than oberon was. Very yeasty and a touch of roasted flavor. Just sweet enough, and i would describe the whole feeling of it as soft. And thats good.

This was so Fucking GOOD!!! It tasted like a caramel sundae from McDonalds, I told Oakes I would put it up there with Celebrator as far as the level of goodness, and he called me a Blasphemer, but fuck him this shit is good!. $6 at Abraxas in Miami Beach. Daddy needs a six-pack.

A: Amber with a nice head and plenty of lacing. S: Sweet amber malts with a tiny bit of hop presence. T: Slightly buttery amber malt base. Very creamy. M: Like the taste, excellent creaminess to this one. Most of the ambers I have had fall well into the category of thin or creamy, and this is definitely of the latter category. Utterly brilliant. D: Excellent year-round offering from Bellís--for the most part, Larry and the crew can simply do no wrong.

dark rich malts in the aroma. start is very sweet and full followed by an offset of the slightest bit of hoppy spice that is there but never quite breaks through the taste. Warm rich aftertaste. A very drinkable beer. Cheers!

Very well balanced with caramel and buttery taste. Just enough amount of hops. I will enjoy this beer everyday anytime of the day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Way better than George Killians. It has a more beer taste in comparison to lighter beers (but this is still a light beer.) The first taste had a high hop flavor with a sweet caramel/malt finish.

Very pretty color. Pours a bronze amber color. Nice head. Tastes like a regular amber. a tad sweet and not too bold or intimidating. Nice after taste. Overall a very enjoyable beer.

Original rating, Mar 24, 2006 (3.9):rich copper color with a small head and nice lacing. very nice, if slightly subdued aroma of sweet malt with a hoppy presence. Flavor is very lightly sweet and carmely with a fair amount of hoppieness. Rich fruity tones. Very nicely balanced, finishes moderatly hopped and lightly dry.
