Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Nice copper body with a thick tan head that leaves decent lacing. The light aroma is mostly sweet with caramel and vanilla notes present. The mouthfeel is full and smooth. The taste is not nearly as sweet but more bitter than the aroma would lead you to believe. The malty sweetness is right up front but quickly gives way to grassy hop bitterness. Not a bad beer.

Bottle - Pours medium amber with fizzy white head. Notes of caramel, sweet malt. Flavors of caramel malt, toffee, some tart fruit... with hops finish. Almost like a Marzen, but more tart. Good.

Initial fruity hops and caramel malty taste and nose. Medium body with surprisingly active fizz. Somewhat dry finish with lingering malt sweetness.

Pours a hazy amber color. One finger tan head. Short lived, head reduces to film. Light lacing.

Aroma is bready and honey. Very malty, medium toasted malts. Some caramel, some floral hops. Nice.

Taste follows the nose. Bready, malty sweetness. A little bitter, but not much. A little butter, a little caramel. Very nice.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied. Light carbonation makes it a little soft. Finishes a little bitter and semi dry.

Overall, this is great. Not much to say about it. I would buy it again, and I would recommend it.

Bells Amber Ale isn’t bad but doesn’t live up to the line. Translucent amber pour with weak head. Light if any aroma. Taste is a straight up amber ale -- no real fruit flavors detected. Amber Ale mixes well with food or is a good drink on a hot day, but nothing special.
