COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Poured into my pint. Served at 45 degrees. The aroma was quite powerful and had a hay aroma with a touch of grass, fruit and flowers. Not my style but not bad. Poured a hazy light red with a huge light tan foamy head that left lots of lacing, flavor started sweet with fruity, peppery, grassy taste that finished with a long harsh bitter that was a bit too much for my taste. Body was medium with thin oily texture, very soft carbonation and as mentioned before a long bitter finish. Not my style of beer but I usually like what Bell’s has to offer. I didn;t hate this beer, but I didn;t care all that much for it and wouldn’t ever buy another. Not bad, just not good either.

On tap. Sweet and nutty aroma that is somewhat weak, with strawberry and lemon accents. Hazy dark copper under a white collar and patch. Flavor is sweet and lightly nutty with faint citrus and also a touch of young/sulfur lagery character. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth.

On tap at Brewvine, Long Island. Pours caramel color, off white creamy head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, very mild hop character. Flavor is hoppier than the Aroma would suggest, still a lot of caramel malt sweetness. Bitter finish.

A little hoppy for an amber. More of an IPA. Not a lot of malt. Drinkable, but not great.

Old rating. A bellwether for ambers. One of my old town go to beers. Pours a clear copper red with a modest eggshell head. Nut-forward aroma with grain, caramel and a hint of stone fruit. Taste is more of the same with the sweetness from the malts and and slight hoppy bitterness balancing well. Watery mouthfeel. Medium light body. Nice smooth finish.
