Tap: Hazy yellow body, foamy white film & collar on top. Aroma has notes of fresh wheat, mild lemon-lime spritz, some mildly sweet cereal grain, & a back-end hint of yeast. Tastes of fresh baked bread, milled grains, lightly toasted wheat, a hint of white pepper, a touch of spicy, finishing hops... Almost like Noble-type. Light linger of mild citrus. Pretty light & refreshing, a decent Kolsch.

Tap at Busters. Clear light gold pour. Small head. Grain and some sweetness. Some grassy hops. Not bad.

Draft. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer.

Glass at Bell’s on 5/18/14. Clear gold pour with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt, a bit creamy with a bit of hop. Creamy malt flavor with a crisp noble hop finish. Pretty much what you want in a Kolsch. Nice.

On tap at the Eccentric Café. The pour is crystal clear and light straw yellow in color with a thin ring of white head and some sporadic lacing. The aroma is lightly malty, but it's lacking the fruit it's claiming. It's quite thin and disappointing. The flavor is equally disappointing. There is a light citrusy grassy note going on, but then there's just liquid rolling around in your mouth. The mouth feel is less than a sparkling water and I'm pretty disappointed here. The after taste doesn't exist. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a clear gold with some frothy, white head. Mild honey nose, lemon, grass, wheat chaff. Sweet flavor, light honey, light spice, yeast. Clean finish. Odd, but also drinkable.

Westmeister (1788) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Sampling at GABF - Light biscuity, slight citrus, fruity. Just ok. Light and fairly refreshing. Had no idea that it was a Kolsch when sampling, but in comparison to some other Kolsch brews I’ve rated, this one compares favorably.

GABF 2013. One of the biggest surprises of GABF. Pours a clear yellow appearance with a white head. Slightly spicy, herbal, a bit floral hoppy, toasted, grainy aroma. Nice body - solid toasted malts - cracker along with some light lemon and floral notes. Super easy drinker that I really hope to try again.
