Adam77 (402), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA May 14, 2009 Poured orange with white head. Aroma of oranges. Nice citrus flavor with a spice finish. beerguy101 (3765), Newark, California, USA May 10, 2009 Sampled on 5/7/2009. This wheat wine pours a slightly cloudy orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head with nice retention. The aroma is orange, orange peel, cereal, coriander, honey and some spices. A medium bodied wheat wine/Imperial Wit. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. Kind of estery. Hops are earthy. Very smooth tasting. Perhaps a touch of funk. Hides the alcohol very well. Interesting beer. The spices are an interesting mix and the flavor balance changes with each sip. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet aracauna (2347), Georgia, USA Apr 29, 2009 This one is a heavily hazed orange amber with very little head. The aroma is rich like biscuit toast, bubble gum and orange. The grains of paradise come through as a mild spicing the flavor. Honestly, this does well to cover it’s strength. It’s a little too meaty for a regular Belgian wit, but it doesn’t taste like 9%, either. Swolf3 (249), Elkton, Maryland, USA Apr 15, 2009 Bottle poured a hazy orange with white head. Aroma was orange, citrus, and honey. Taste was a nice sweet but not overdone, with orange, and other fruits. finished easy to drink and not bad. durhambeer (990), Durham, USA Mar 5, 2009 Bottle thanks to ucusty. Thanks, Dave! Pours pleasant bright hazy orange with foamy white head. Aromas of candied orange with peel, bananas, coriander, honey, grains, and fusel. Sharp and a bit past its prime, but I remember drinking it a year ago and thinking it was the first Bell’s beer that let me down.
