Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Bottle. Pours a ruddy hazy gold with a small off-white head which settles pretty quickly. Coriander, orange, a honey sweetness and faint whiffs of alcohol on the nose. Sharp coriander leads off the taste backed up by a sweetness of honey and slight malts and alcohol. Then the palate kind of drops out and a slightly harsh vegetal bitterness follows. Mouthfeel is a little heavy.

12oz bottle. Murky orange color with a small white head. Spicy, perfumey aroma, some citrus and earthy coriander. Appley malt, sharp spiciness and citrus rind. Soft, earthy and herbal flavors then manifest. Residual spiciness in the finish, with tinges of alcohol heat and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium, somewhat smooth.

For my 800 I am doing the 8000. I had a hard time with this beer at first, didn’t think it was very good. But after drinling a case of this the last few bottle turned me around. With most of the bells beers I like to try them unshaken 1st then shake up the yeast and I usually like the shaken one, but this one I didn’t care for the yeast in my glass. aroma got the Coriander, Orange Peel, some lemon, and a hint of yeast( this is the unshaken bottle). flavor same as the aroma with a little sweetness added in

Orange coloring with medium carbonation. Taste the orange peel and semi sweet. Comparable to the IPA’s I like with no strong aftertaste. Great beer.

Like a trad spicy Belgian, orange peel, grains, bitter finish. Good carbonation. Could use some maturing.

Bell’s is another brewery you can’t go wrong with. This is not my favoite beer from them, but still a good one. Nice Belgium style beer with plenty of spice. It only comes around once.

This looks about like orange juice. Fruity, with a good bit of orange taste. This was a lot like a stronger tasting Surly Cynic. Good stuff for sure, and the marmalade flavor is so tasty. Mmmmm, marmalade.

Strong lemon and alcohol aroma. Coriander, lemongrass, and toothpaste come into the flavor. Some banana and cereal as well, but overshadowed by the spice tastes. Nice medium/medium-heavy body. Aftertaste of lemon and potpourri. Overall very good.
