Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Light head on dirty orange.Lightly sour partly buttery aroma. Dusty buttery flavour. Some spices but does not even measure up to a normal Hoegaarden. Perhaps not as fresh as it should be.

Bottle. Rich, slightly opaque amber color. Very light bubbly head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of hops, oranges, and spices. Intensely wheaty flavor with strong citrus notes and coriander. A hint of banana. Bit of an alcohol bite and lingering spices and fruit. Powerful and tasty.

Definitely a lot of spices going on here. Oranges, whole, coriander and some earthy sweetness. Dark orange brown w/ not much head. Balnced taste of bitterness and sweetness and spices.

Pours an amber/tangerine color with very little head. A beautiful color, but the lack of head really takes away from the overall presentation. Nose has some tropical fruit, clove, and alcohol. Good spicy flavor that goes well with the fruit notes. I agree with ElGaucho about the passion fruit in the palate. I also agree that this is remarkably smooth for the high ABV.

Bottle in trade with Dukefan. Passion Fruit and orange peel are the two most prominent scents. Unique, fresh, tropical aroma. Hazy peach body with a lasting, light, off-white head that leaves nice, artistic lace. Plentiful visible carbonation. Orange peel and coriander are evident in the flavor, although passion fruit not so much. This is a unique beer; fresh, crisp and invigorating. Slaps you in the face a little bit, but, as MilkmanDan is fond of saying, in a good way. A very good beer that’s a quick drinker, and amazingly thirst quenching for a 9% ABV brew. No, this isn’t the big Dark Lord clone monster that Batch 7000 was, but my fellow Ratebeerians, you must think outside the box with this one.
